In North Waziristan District's Miran Shah area, an army major and another soldier lost their lives during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces, as reported by the military's media wing on Friday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Major Amir Aziz, leading the operation, confronted a group of terrorists, resulting in the death of one terrorist and injury to another. Tragically, Major Amir, aged 29, and Sepoy Muhammad Arif, aged 27, were martyred during the intense exchange of fire.
The ISPR emphasized ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorists in the area, underscoring Pakistan's determination to combat terrorism and honoring the sacrifices of its soldiers.
Additionally, in the Khyber district, a soldier was martyred and a terrorist was killed in a firefight in the Tirah area during the night between August 31 and September 1. Havildar Muntazir Shah, aged 36, fought bravely and embraced martyrdom during this intense confrontation, with the killed terrorist being involved in numerous acts of terrorism against security forces and civilians.
