ISLAMABAD (APP): Parliamentary Secretary for Interior and Narcotics Control Marryam Auranzeb Friday informed the National Assembly that religious seminaries were being registered after completion of all necessary formalities by the respective provincial governments under the relevant laws.
During the question-hour, she, however, said that no timeline had been given by the provincial governments to complete the entire registration process.
She said that first phase of mapping of religious seminaries had been completed while the second phase to register them was in the process.
Answering a question, the Parliamentary Secretary said that issuing of Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) in 93 Pakistan Missions aboard would start soon.
Presently, she said, as many as 83 Pak Missions were issuing MRPs while human resources and machines had been installed in four missions.
She said that in six missions including Afghanistan and Yemen, the process to issue MRPs was on the halt due to certain reasons.
Marryam Auranzeb said 106 National Computerized Cards had been declared illegal by the NADRA during the recent drive for verification of CNICs.
She said that on directive of the Prime Minister computerization of land record was transferred to Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in November 2015.
She said a revised PC-1 was prepared at a cost of Rs 151,313 million and submitted to the Planning Development and Reforms Division for approval.
She expressed the hope that the on-line record of land would be available within two years.
