ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday summoned a meeting of the National Coordination Committee for COVID-19.
During the meeting, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) officials will inform the prime minister about the latest situation. The meeting will discuss the matters pertaining to closure of educational institutions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Important decisions are likely to be made in the meeting.
Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that NCOC recommendations would be presented in the meeting.
Meanwhile, a surge in the coronavirus cases has been observed, with 12 deaths reported during the last 24 hours. As many as 1,123 new cases were reported.
The authorities have sealed 830 places under the micro-smart lockdown across Punjab.
