Terrorist Outfit Commander arrested from Peshawar

PESHAWAR: (APP) Seven terrorists, including the commander of a banned outfit, were arrested by police in operations in Peshawar and Charsadda districts with big quantity of explosives.

Three terrorists, including the commander of the banned organization, were arrested from Tarnab Forms area on GT Road in Peshawar.

Superintendent of Police Rural Peshawar Shakir Khan Bangash told APP that three terrorists were arrested during a raid conducted on their hideout on a tip-off from intelligence agencies.

The commander identified as Ali Rehman was involved in an attack on security forces and looting of a cash van, he said.

The SP said two hand grenades, 5 kilogram explosive material and safety fuses along with hate material was also recovered from their possession.

The terrorists, he said, would be handed over to the Counter-Terrorism Department for interrogation.

Meanwhile, the Charsadda police arrested four proclaimed offenders during a raid in Sardheri area, which was carried out on an information about the presence of criminals. The police seized arms, including two Kalashnikovs and five pistols with ammunition, besides, 10 kg narcotics during the operation.

Jehanzeb son of Sardar Muhammad of Dausaro, Charsadda district, one of the arrested accused, is wanted to the police in nine criminal cases, including two offences of 302.

The other three accused were identified as Tehsin Ullah son of Muhammad Ali of Palosai, Noorda Ali son of Muhammad Akbar of Mardan district and Faisal district Aurangzeb of Wardak, Saradheri, Charsadda district.
