ISLAMABAD-Pakistan and Denmark have agreed to promote bilateral economic cooperation in various fields. This was agreed on Thursday during via video link between Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod.
The two Foreign Ministers discussed issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the Corona pandemic.
The Foreign Minister briefed his Danish counterpart on the steps being taken by Pakistan to curb the spread of this global pandemic.
He said dealing with the economic implications of the Corona epidemic is a major challenge for developing countries like Pakistan.
He expressed hope that Denmark will play an effective role in advancing the debt relief proposal.
The Danish Foreign Minister appreciated the proposal for debt relief for developing countries and hinted at possible cooperation in this regard.
The Danish Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction over the nature of bilateral relations with Pakistan over the past seven decades.
