ISLAMABAD (APP): The Higher Education Commission (HEC), in initial phase, is focusing to send 1500 PhD scholars for studying in the best universities of the United States, under US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor.
Pakistani universities to be converted into smart universities: HEC
According to an official of HEC, US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor was an initiative launched in June 2015, which aimed to provide opportunities to 10,000 scholars for PhD studies in top US universities.
Moreover, in this regard the commission in collaboration with the US Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has organized Talent Farming workshops for scholars, who are interested to pursue doctoral studies in leading universities of the US in selected fields.
The workshops were held in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi under the umbrella of "US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor".
HEC Experts review criteria for university ranking in Pakistan
The workshops are scheduled to be conducted four times a year under "Call for GRE Training" in Islamabad and four provincial capitals through three programme components, including orientation, workshop and five-week training session.
