The United States, Canada and Mexico have signed a North American Trade Pact.

The leaders of the three countries agreed on a deal in principle to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement, which governs more than $1.2 trillion of mutual trade.

US President Donald Trump brushed aside concerns that he could face difficulties getting ratification of the deal by the Congress.
