KARACHI: After being arrested on Sunday like a high profile leader, fix-it drive’s founder Alamgir Khan was finally found from Lyari Kalakot police station.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi leaders kept looking for him throughout the day and went to almost every police station of the city to locate Alamgir Khan but he was finally found at Lyari Kalakot police station.

As he came out of the police station, he was lifted on the shoulders by his companions. Talking to media, Alamgir Khan said that police’s attitude, heaps of garbage and unemployment were the real problems faced by Karachi.

However, PTI workers and leaders stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Alamgir Khan when it came to a collision with the police. Staging a sit-in outside Sindh Chief Minister House, PTI leaders said that they wouldn’t leave unless Alamgir was released.

Earlier, police had brutalised a protest arranged by fix-it movement outside Karachi Press Club.

The demonstrators protesting against Sindh IG’s transfer and raising their voice against police’s highhandedness were welcomed with teargas shelling and water cannon.
