KARACHI: Founder of Fix-it campaign Alamgir Khan was arrested by police outside the Karachi Press Club on Sunday.
He was protesting at the press club with members of his campaign against “Police gardi”, stressing that police should be free of political affiliations.
Police used water cannon against the protesters before detaining Khan. His plan was to march towards the CM House to record the protest but he was stopped by the police contingent.
It is pertinent to mention here that Section 144 is already imposed in the city against any ‘unlawful’ gathering.
According to the CM House spokesperson, the government would not allow anyone to create law and order in the city specially in the red zone.
