Former Skipper Shahid Afridi breaks silence over issue of snubs to Afghan cricket player

Lahore: Former Pakistan cricket skipper and Galle Gladiators captain ShahidAfridi on Tuesday revealed what advice he had given to young Afghan playerNaveeul Haq.

Shahid Afridi engaged in a fiery exchange with Afghanistan’s bowlerNaveen-ul-Haq after he misbehaved with Mohammad Amir following a match inLanka Premier League (LPL).

Following a match between Kandy Tuskers and Galle Gladiators in LankaPremier League, former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi schooledAfghanistan’s youngster Naveen-ul-Haq for abusing Muhammad Amir.

When the match concluded and all players were shaking hands, Afridi washaving a smile until Naveen came up. While speaking angrily to Naveen,Afridi said “Kya Hoa [What Happened].”

Now, the Pakistani cricketer took to Twitter to reveal what advise he gaveto the 21-year-old Naveen.

“My advice to the young player was simple, play the game and don’t indulgein abusive talk. I have friends in Afghanistan team and we have verycordial relations. Respect for teammates and opponents is the basic spiritof the game,” Afridi said.
