On Thursday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah MehmoodQureshi experienced deterioration in his health while in prison.
The incident prompted the jail administration to seek permission from JudgeAbul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the court established under the Official SecretsAct to transfer him to a hospital.
The jail administration sought permission from Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnainto authorize the transfer of Qureshi to the Pakistan Institute of MedicalSciences (PIMS) hospital based on the recommendations of the jail doctor.
The court granted permission for the former foreign minister to be shiftedto the hospital.
