Important decisions likely as PM Imran Khan summons important meeting of National Coordination Committee

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday summoned a meeting of theNational Coordination Committee for COVID-19.

During the meeting, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC)officials will inform the prime minister about the latest situation. Themeeting will discuss the matters pertaining to closure of educationalinstitutions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Important decisions are likely to be made in the meeting.

Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that NCOC recommendations would bepresented in the meeting.

Meanwhile, a surge in the coronavirus cases has been observed, with 12deaths reported during the last 24 hours. As many as 1,123 new cases werereported.
