In Lahore, Sanam Javed Khan and fellow female activists from the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been placed under a 14-day judicial remand in avandalism case, as reported by ARY News.

According to the details provided, the police presented a report to thecourt, identifying Sanam Javed Khan’s involvement in a case related to anattack on a police van. The police requested the court to grant physicalremand for the PTI female activists involved in the police van attack case.

However, the court rejected the plea for physical remand and instead sentthe PTI female activists into a 14-day judicial remand. Ashima and ShahBano were discharged from the case due to a lack of evidence implicatingthem in the vandalism incident.

Earlier, these PTI women activists had been re-arrested shortly afterbeing released from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. Policewomen took them intocustody from the jail, following their release.

This re-arrest occurred because their families were reluctant to take themhome, fearing further arrests. Previously, an anti-terrorism court (ATC)had ordered the release of PTI activist Sanam Javed Khan and other partyactivists in connection with the Jinnah House attack case.

The court approved bail pleas for several PTI activists, including SanamJaved Khan, Robina Jameel, Afshan Tariq, Ashma Shuja, Shah Bano, FaisalAkhtar, Qasim, Ali Hasan, and Hussain Qadri.
