ISLAMABAD – Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, Khusro Bakhtiarsays socio-economic and human capital development is the agenda of theincumbent government and full attention is being given in this regard.
Talking to media along with Minister for Information and BroadcastingChaudhry Fawad Hussain in Islamabad today, he said human capital is realpotential of Pakistan and a new group is being established undersocio-economic development for the purpose.
He said the government will bring financial planning and discipline toachieve goals of development and prosperity.
Referring to China Pakistan Economic Corridor project, he said the base ofCPEC will be broadened and its pace will be expedited and right planningwill be carried out to this effect.
Khusro Bakhtiar said there is need to leverage the strategic location ofour country. He said when direct investment will be attracted in thecountry it will definitely contribute giving right direction to the economy.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said the prices ofelectricity will remain intact and there will be no increase in its price.
He said decision to this effect was taken during Economic CoordinationCommittee meeting today.
