ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has extended thedeadline of registering second IMEI by Sept 15, 2019.
Earlier PTA asked all the dual sim, mobile phone users, to register thesecond IMEI of their phones till Aug 31.
International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a number issued to everymobile phone device. Every dual sim phone has two different IMEI numbersgiven to it at the time of manufacturing.

PTA has been registering all the mobile phone devices operating in thecountry, after the first attemptlink,they realized that mobile phone users with dual sim capability are onlyregistering one IMEI number of the device. So they started another campaignearlier this month to register the second IMEI number.
