LAHORE – Punjab government launched health insurance scheme across theprovince.
The Punjab Specialised Healthcare Department has given approval inprinciple for launch of a health insurance scheme in 19 districts of theprovince.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Provincial Health MinisterDr Yasmin Rashid in Lahore on Sunday.
Under the scheme, she said, financial protection will be provided tolow-income people.
She directed for completing the file work at the earliest to get formalapproval from the provincial cabinet.
