Pakistan responds back to the Afghan President peace offer

Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan wants peace and stability in Afghanistan and its position in this regard is quite clear.

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, in response to a media query regarding President Ashraf Ghani’s statement, the Minister said that Pakistan will contribute and play its due role in all the initiatives for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

He said bilateral, trilateral, quadrilateral and multilateral mechanisms for dialogue and interaction with Afghanistan are already in place and those should be utilized to their full potential.

Khawaja Asif said both sides have recognized the need for political to political, military to military and intelligence to intelligence cooperation.
