Afghanistan appoints 15 member delegation for peace talks with Afghan Taliban

KABUL – Afghanistan has appointed a 15-member delegation for the talks withthe Taliban group, the State Ministry of Peace Affairs said.

According to a statement released by State Minister of Peace Affairs, thegovernment has done its best to consider social and ethnic diversity in thedelegation.

The statement further added that the delegation is fully prepared to starttalks with the Taliban and defend the Islamic Republic values ofAfghanistan.

Meanwhile, the U.S. envoy for Afghan Peace Ambassador Zalmay Khalizad hadearlier said the US and Afghanistan have agreed on next steps. And anegotiating team and technical support group are being finalized.
