ISLAMABAD – Former Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal lands in hot waters.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has summoned PakistanMuslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday forinvestigating him in his alleged involvement in misappropriation ofgovernment funds in the Narowal Sports City Complex.
In a notification, the NAB has ordered the former interior minister toappear before its interrogation team in the bureau’s headquarters inRawalpindi.
Iqbal has been accused of illegally initiating the project of Rs3 billionin Narowal and causing a loss of billions of rupees to the nationalexchequer.
Furthermore, it has been revealed the in the construction of the SportsCity, the Pakistan Sports Board has exceeded from its authority.
