Rana Tanveer nominated as Chairman Public Accounts Committee

*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Thursday nominated RanaTanveer as Shehbaz Sharif’s replacement to chair Public Accounts Committee(PAC).*

According to sources, Khawaja Asif has been nominated as parliamentaryleader. Asif was nominated parliamentary leader by former prime ministerShahid Khaqan Abbasi.

“Khawaja Asif was made parliamentary leader on the request of ShehbazSharif,” Abbasi said.

Last year, Sharif was elected chairman of the parliamentary committeeunopposed after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government conceded thecoveted post to the president of PML-N.

In a series of tweets before his departure, Shehbaz said: “I am going totake a quick visit to London to see my grandchildren & go through my ownmedical check up and return soon.”
