ISLAMABAD – Foreign Office Spokesperson has said Pakistan views Russia asan important global power, a significant development partner, and a salientcontributor to regional stability, reported by Radio Pakistanlink>.

In a statement on the eve of 70th anniversary of the establishment of theDiplomatic Relations between the two countries, he said Pakistan – Russiafriendship is fast evolving into a mature partnership ensuring regionalpeace and stability.

He said that relations of both the countries are characterized by mutualrespect and trust, commonality of interests, convergence of views onimportant regional and global issues.

He said the two countries have similar stakes in durable peace andstability in their common neighbourhood, and harbor shared aspirations forregional development and prosperity.
