ISLAMABAD – The Foreign Office says Pakistanlink has never shied away fromtalks with India link but anenabling environment needs to be created for it.
At his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Friday, FO spokesperson ZahidHafeez Chaudhri said it is Indialink which vitiated the environmentthrough its illegal and unilateral actions of 5th August 2019 in theillegally occupied Jammu and Kashmirlink.
“There is no change in Pakistanlink position regarding Jammuand Kashmir link and withregards to talks with India link,”he added.
Chaudhri further said that resolution of Kashmirlink dispute is a key to moveforward and its resolution is imperative for durable peacelink and stability in the region.
He welcomed the US Human Rights report regarding human rights situation inthe Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmirlink.
When asked about the third-party mediation, the spokesperson said Pakistanlink has always welcomed theinternational community’s role including that of the United Nations.
He however stressed that any third-party effort should be aimed atresolution of outstanding disputes between Pakistanlink and Indialink.
