7 Indian Army soldiers killed, 19 injured at LoC as Pakistan Army retaliates back

RAWALPINDI– Seven Indian soldiers were killed and 19 others injured whenPakistan Army responded to Indian aggression on the Line of Control, theInter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Tuesday.

Indian forces suffered heavy damage during the cross border firing,resulting in destruction of their four check posts. The Pak Army s mediawing stated that BSF personnel were continuously violating the LoCceasefire from last 3 days.

Earlier on Monday night, three Pak Army soldiers laid their lives in theline of duty when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked fire in Rakhchakri ,Rawalakot Sector along Line of Control( LOC). Subedar Muhammad Riazresident of Jhang, Lance Havaldar Aziz Ullah from Noshero Feroz and SepoyShahid Mansib from Abbotabbad embraced Shahadat while one soldier gotinjured, ISPR said in a press reliese.

STRONG WILL, RESOLVE TO DEFEND PAKISTAN

Earlier today, Corps Commanders Conference held at GHQ reiterated tocontinue its efforts for bringing enduring peace in the country whilesupporting all initiatives towards regional peace. The 220th CorpsCommanders Conference was presided by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) GeneralQamar Javed Bajwa.

The forum reviewed geo-strategic environment and ongoing situation alongEastern Border. Forum expressed strong will, resolve and determination todefend the motherland against any misadventure or aggression.

In a statement issued a day earlier, the ISPR said that the February 27incident of Pakistan Army shooting down Indian aircraft is part of historynow. He reiterated that no Pakistani F-16 was hit by Indian Air Force.

“Action was done by JF-17 from within Pakistan airspace. Later when 2Indian jets crossed LOC, they were shot down by PAF,” the ISPR stated.
