RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has stronglyreacted over the Indian Forces brutalities in occupied Kashmir.

He said that Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir can never suppress ajust indigenous political struggle for self-determination.

According to the DG ISPR, the COAS has highly condemned brutalities byIndian security forces against innocent Kashmiris in IOK and CFVs alongLOC/WB.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Alice G Wells, South and Central Asia ActingAssistant Secretary, USA called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar JavedBajwa at GHQ on Monday.

Regional security environment and matters of mutual interest werediscussed. COAS reiterated that Pakistan is committed for peace andstability in the region particularly in Afghanistan through a nationalapproach.

The COAS said that Pakistan also expects other players in the region toplay equally positive part. Ambassador Wells said that US is committed tolasting peace and supports all efforts towards that end. Both agreed thatbilateral convergences should be leveraged to gain positive momentum ratherthan remaining hostage to perceptions.
