ISLAMABAD – A number of Pakistani fans were excited after reading DarrenSammy’s tweet in which he hinted at a return in the West Indies line-up,and coming to Pakistan again for the T20 series.
The West Indies’ cricketer took to Twitter and wrote, “Can’t believe thisI’m gonna be in the Maroon again. Heading to Pakistan.”
However, all hopes were crushed when Sammy revealed that it was all part ofhis April Fool’s prank. “I can’t keep this going. Sorry guys it was an#AprilFoolsPrank. Not going back in the marron,” he clarified.
A fan wrote, “I was so happy after reading your tweet. Just told my brotherthat Sammy is coming to Pakistan again. Still, we love you.”
“Sammy I was so much exited after reading your first Tweet but now…this ischeating” another complained.
Later on, he asked, “Wait, that game was an April fools prank?”
