Earlier, batting first after their skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss, Pakistan made a disastrous start losing two wickets in the very first over, bowled by Samuel Badree.
However, Kamran Akmal and Babar Azam got together and batted brilliantly to rescue their team from disaster. They added 88 runs for the third wicket stand.
Kamran made 48 off 37 balls with four boundaries and two sixes while Babar scored 43 off 38 balls with three fours and a six.
Later, allrounder Fakhar Zaman scored 21 runs, hitting a six.
Leg-spinner Badree was the most successful bowler with two wickets for 22 runs.
