ISLAMABAD: Afghan Taliban have received peace talks invitation from Afghanistan Government here at Wednesday. A team of Afghan Taliban will arrive in Pakistan on Friday.
As per details, the way has been paved for direct negotiations between Afghan government and Taliban for establishing peace in Afghanistan.
Afghan Taliban sources claimed that they have been invited by Afghan government for peace talks while Taliban accepted government invitation.
Taliban leadership has also formed a team after consultation to participate in talks while Sher Muhammad Abbas who is the head of Taliban political office in Qatar will lead the team.
Sources further claimed that Taliban group Mulla Muhammad Rasool has also decided to participate in talks while Hazbul Islami group has already agreed to participate in peace talks.
The direct peace talks are likely to be held on March 5 or 6 while all the arrangements have been finalized in Islamabad in this regard.
