Four people crushed to death in tragic incident in Islamabad by Kashmala Tariq family

ISLAMABAD – At least four people crushed to death in a tragic accident atG-11 signal on Srinagar Highway in the federal capital when a VIP motorcadeof Waqas Khan ran a red light and rammed into pedestrians.

Sources said Waqas Khan and son Azlan Khan were reportedly riding a blackSUV, with a government number plate. Five vehicles were part of the VIPmotorcade.

The SUV broke the G-11 signal and was speeding on the highway, a policeofficer said. The deceased were identified as Anas, Faisal, Haider, andFarooq were killed in the accident, they had come from Mansehra in searchof jobs, the officer added.

The Islamabad police also confirmed the arrest of the driver. Vehicles havebeen taken into custody and action will be taken in accordance with thelaw, the statement further added.

A case has been registered under 322 (punishment for murder withoutintention), 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 427 (mischiefcausing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), and 337G (punishment forhurt by rash or negligent driving) of the PPC in Model Police Station Ramna.

On the other hand, two persons were also injured in the accident. The deadand injured were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)Hospital.
