ISLAMABAD – A first ever business centre has been setup in the United ArabEmirates (UAE) to help the overseas Pakistanis in establishing theirbusinesses in the country by providing rent-free spaces and training to theaspiringentrepreneurs.The initiative has been launched following an understanding between theGovernment of Pakistan andUAE-based Samana Group of Companies, consequent to the efforts by SpecialAssistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human ResourceDevelopment Syed Zulfikar Bukhari who had negotiated with the UAEauthorities during his recent visit.As per understanding, UAE government would provide space to Samana Group ofCompanies to lunch its operations that would later accommodate Pakistanientrepreneurs there to initiate their businesses, the official sources toldAPP Saturday.The Samana group was the first company which took such initiative tofacilitate the Pakistani companies, start up and business professionals totranslate their business related dreams into reality.
The sources said, the youth belonging to Pakistani diaspora would be ableto register their companies and small start ups free of charge through thevery business centre.The Samana Group’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imran Farooq recentlyvisited Pakistan at the invitation of the SAPM who had invited him todiscuss possibilities of launching the initiatives in the Emirates .In the meeting, both side discussed the various initiatives and the SAPMassured the company to extend every facility in this regard.Zulfikar Bukhari congratulated the interested youth for having anopportunity to execute their business ideas in UAE, adding that a number ofsuccessful Pakistani businessmen were already working in Dubai and sendinghuge remittances to the country.”Extremely pleased to have well established overseas Pakistani across theglobe contributing big towards national development by helping those whoare less fortunate,” Bukhari tweeted soon after meeting the delegation ofSamana Group of Companies.
Eulogizing their spirit, he lauded the efforts of the CEO for providingnesting space and business centre services voluntarily to Pakistanientrepreneurs trying to settle in UAE.“We welcome Pakistan’s initiatives of opening up country’s economy. We, asa member of Dubai’s business community, equally stand by the initiativeslaunched by our new government.We also welcome Pakistani businessmen who plan to start business in Dubaibut they do not have enough investment and technical know-how to startwith. We encourage them to come forward and join our first of its kindoffer of rent-free workspaces at our Star Business Centre for initial threemonths. We will also provide free business advisory,” said a statementissued by the company.The Star Business Centre offered state-of-the art workspaces in Dubai’ssought-after business districts, Business Bay and Jumeirah Lake Towers. Thecentre would ensure the ease of doing business in Dubai for Pakistanientrepreneurs.
