PM Imran Khan confesses of being under pressure

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he would not be blackmailedby the opposition, adding that he will never give the NRO.

In an interview with a private TV channel on Friday, he said that he wasbeing pressurized for the NRO. “The opposition should decide whether I am apuppet or a fascist. The Army will support the government which will dowork for the country,” he added.

Prime Minister said that the Sharif family had made their houses in costlyareas of London. “Nawaz Sharif had earlier left the country after strikinga deal with former president Pervez Musharraf and still he is fleeing. Ihad told on day one that all opposition parties will unite,” he said.

He said that solution to Pakistan’s problems is very painful. “I was fullyaware of conditions in the country. You have to reduce yours expenditureswhen you are under a debt. The PDM has an impression that the governmentwill be sent home at any time and for this reason, it is on the streets,”he maintained.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that accountability would have beendifficult had they forged an alliance with the PPP or the PML-N. “Itbecomes easy for a prime minister to run the government if he gets apresentation before assuming it,” he added.

He said that no one could understand the work done by them during the lasttwo years. “I am proud of my economic team. The current account has beensurplus for the last five months after 17 years,” he added.

The prime minister said that his quarrel was with the terrorist MQM founderand there was no enmity with the MQM if it had dissociated itself from itsfounder.
