ISLAMABAD – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) onWednesday has reduced electricity prices in Pakistan.
NEPRA has issued a notification for cut in power tariff amounting to 32paisa per unit.
The decrease in electricity prices will provide a relief of Rs2 billion tothe consumers.
As per the notification, the power tariff has been reduced in accordancewith the fuel adjustment of November.
NEPRA has directed to provide the relief to consumers in the bills ofJanuary.
The fuel adjustment is not applicable on people using less than 300 units,lifeline and agricultural consumers.
