*ISLMABAD – The former dean of Aitchison College and Teacher of PM ImranKhan Major Geoffrey Douglas Langlands passed away on Wednesday, January 2,at 10:15 am after a brief illness. *
*He will be remembered by hundreds of students as ‘The Major’, a Britishman who worked for education in Pakistan for more than half his life. *
He was born on October 21, 1917 and was 101 years old at the time of hisdeath.

Major Langlands landed in India as part of the British army and then livedin the heart of Punjab. He had a long teaching career in Pakistan.
Major Langlands was responsible for the education of many big names inPakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI MPA Aleem Khan, Foreign MinisterShah Mahmood Qureshi and a number of other high-profile personalities inthe country were taught by him at Aitchison.
