ISLAMABAD – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday has told SupremeCourt (SC) that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan didnot availTax Amnesty Scheme but has not paid tax so far.
During the hearing of a case related to properties of Pakistanis abroad,the FBR officials informed the court that Aleema Khan has sought time tillJanuary 13 to pay the due tax.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar directed the board tosubmit a complete report over the assets and properties owned by Pakistanisabroad by January 13.
The hearing of the case has now been adjourned till 14th of this month.
Previously, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had submitted properties andtax details of Aleema Khan in SC Lahore registry.
FBR official said that Aleema Khan had not taken amnesty on her Dubai flatas it was bought by taking loan from the bank. The apartment was sold afterpaying off the loan, he added.
