Pakistan Military to ensure defence of land without caring threat of US: Report

RAWALPINDI: Corps Commanders’ Conference was held here at GHQ Tuesday toreview anti-Pakistan tweet of U.S President Donald Trump.

According to spokesman of Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), GeneralQamar Javed Bajwa presided over the 207th corps commanders conference whileall Corps commanders and Principal staff attended it.

The participants of the conference reviewed ge-strategic situation andinternal security situation in length and also kept it before the NationalSecurity Committee (NSC). The defence sources said that Corps Commandersconference was told that U.S President’s statement was against the facts asPakistan has rendered uncountable sacrifices during the last fifteen yearsbut these sacrifices have been ignored.

It was told that Pakistan faced $ 130 billion economic loss while over70,000 civilians and security forces officials also offered their lives’sacrifices. The Corps Commanders conferences was told that U.S PresidentDonald Trump’s claim of $ 33 billion aid was also against the facts andreality because most of the amount was paid under coalition support fundand facilities were used against the said amount. U.S has yet to pay $ 2billion under the said fund while the volume of aid is very low.

Sources said that Corps Commanders also made it clear that Pakistan wouldnot do more and now U.S has to do more. It said Pakistan has waged waragainst terrorists irrespective of races, colours, and creeds. The CorpsCommanders further said that there is no safe hideout of any terroristoutfit in Pakistan as action was continued against terrorists underoperation Radd ul Fasad while FATA has been purged of terrorism.

They also clarified that Pakistan would ensure its security and defencewithout caring threat of anyone while Afghan war would not be fought inPakistan at any cost. Sources said that Corps Commanders asserted earlyrepatriation of Afghan refugees while in the perspective of Trump’sstatement, the military leadership would enhance military diplomacy withthe friends countries.
