Lahore: Director General (DG) National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Saleem Shehzad has said that Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif is very happy in the custody of accountability bureau.
In a statement, DG NAB said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President is provided food and medicines from home.
“Shahbaz Sharif is completely at ease. He is being provided with a bed to rest and books to read,” he added.
Responding to a question, he said that there is no reality in opposition’s claim of NAB-Niazi nexus.
“We are running on merit completely and chairman NAB has clear instructions in this regard. We will take action only if there is evidence against the person,” he said.
Accountability Court on Tuesday granted the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) a 14-day physical remand of Shahbaz Sharif for interrogation after he was arrested by NAB a day earlier after his interim bail was rejected in money-laundering and assets beyond means case.
