Karachi: Dilip Kumar, Bollywood legend, has requested living in Peshawar, capital of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to share pictures of his ancestral house on Twitter.
His request came after a Pakistani journalist shared pictures of the house on Twitter. The Mughat-E-Azam star retweeted it and wrote: “Thank you for sharing this. Requesting all in #Peshawar to share photos of my ancestral house (if you’ve clicked the pic) and tag #DilipKumar”.
The ancestral house of the Bollywood star, which is located in Qissa Khawani Bazar, was declared a national heritage during PML-N government in 2014. Now, KP government has purchased the house and decided to convert it into a museum after renovation.
Dilip Kumar spent his childhood in this house. When his wife Saira Bano learnt about the KP government decision, she expressed happiness and lauded the decision.
The house is currently in dilapidated condition. Kumar had visited the house in 1988 last time.
