What are the new expected changes in the federal cabinet reshuffle?

ISLAMABAD - Federal cabinet reshuffle is on the cards with former Finance Minister Asad Umar likely to be re inducted. According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan may be about to change the ministries of eight to ten members of his cabinet. The premier might give the Petroleum Ministry to Asad Umar.

The Minister's whose portfolios might be changed include Minister for Interior Ijaz Shah, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Zubaida Jalal and Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan.

It is being speculated that Shafqat Mehmood might be given the Interior portfolio while Zubaida Jalal may be given the Education Ministry. Sources have also revealed that though Dr. Babar Awan wanted to become a senator, he will be given the post of Advisor.

Dr. Firdous might be given the responsibilities previously resting with Nadeem Afzal Chan.

On the other hand, State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan might be removed from his post while Fawad Chaudhry may yet again get his portfolio changed. Previously, Fawad Chaudhry held the Information Ministry but was given the Science and Technology portfolio when Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan was appointed as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister.
