Pakistan Maritime Security Agency saves stranded Iranian boat and nine citizens 240 miles from Gwadar

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Maritime Security Agency has rescued nine Iranian fishermen along with their boat WAHIDI, who were stranded in open sea from 240 nautical miles from Gwadar.

Talking to Radio Pakistan Karachi correspondent Muhammad Waqas, a spokesman of the agency said that PMSA ship KASHMIR took part in the rescue operation.

He said the rescue operation was carried out on information given by Maritime Rescue Coordination Center. He said the rescued fishermen were stranded since 12-days.

The spokesman said the fishermen were provided food, water and medical assistance.

Crew and owner of the boat have applauded the efforts of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency which proves to be another example of long lasting brotherly relations of Islamabad and Tehran.
