Federal government takes action to resolve dispute regarding moon sighting on eve of Eidain

ISLAMABAD - Federal government takes action to resolve dispute regarding moon sighting on eve of Eidain.

Ministry of Religious Affairs has constituted a committee to resolve the dispute regarding sighting of moon on the eve of Eidain.

This was decided during the meeting held in Islamabad today regarding using modern technology on sighting of moon.

The meeting was presided over by Religious Affairs Minister Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri.

According to the Ministry, the Committee will be headed by Religious Minister Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri while Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology Dr Qibla Ayaz, Qari Hanif Jalandhari, Mufti Shahab Popalzai and Secretary Religious Affairs will be its members.

The meeting also discussed reorganizing of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, use of Qamari Calendar prepared by Ministry of Science and Technology and other problems being faced in this regard.
