Stunning revelations surface behind 2014 Islamabad Dharna

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Khurrum Nawaz Gandapur has made stunning revelations over the 2014 Islamabad sitin.

He unearthed ‘London plan’ behind 126-day long sit-in staged in Islamabad against rigging in General Polls 2013.

Gandapur stated that cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan—now the incumbent prime minister—had held meetings with Pervez Ilahi, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and PAT chief Tahirul Qadri in London.

“A decision was made [in the same huddle] to launch a movement aimed at toppling [then] government of Nawaz Sharif. Such movements are part of democracy”, Gandapur was quoted as saying.

“Following this meeting, Tahirul Qadri announced his return to Pakistan to launch a campaign against [Nawaz’s] government”, added Gandapur.

On the other hand, PML-N senator Mushahid Ullah Khan raised Gandapur’s statement in the upper house of the parliament.
