Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, has released an important message through his family from jail for the legal fraternity.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X (Twitter), it is stated that it is the responsibility of the judiciary and lawyers to fulfill their duty of safeguarding the rule of law, upon which the foundations of our national progress are built.
According to the statement, the legal fraternity is obligated to initiate a movement to defend the rights of the people of Pakistan, especially their fundamental right to vote, so that they can have the right to choose their leadership and determine their future with their own hands.
Chairman PTI further emphasizes that it is a secondary matter who the people elect as their leadership, but the fundamental issue is to grant them the fundamental right to choose their representatives, which the constitution provides.
The statement further mentions that Pakistan is undoubtedly at a critical juncture, a delicate moment where we see our system of justice deteriorating rapidly and its pillars crumbling. Therefore, if we want to save it from complete destruction, we must take action.
Imran Khan states that if we don't step into the field for justice, we can establish rule by decree in this country, and we won't stand against the rule of governance that is based on "might is right," where only the most powerful and the richest can thrive.
