ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that forty district and tehsil headquarters hospitals are being upgraded in Punjab including the district headquarters hospital Layyah.
Talking to media men at Layyah on Monday, he said that medical laboratories are being established in the hospitals of Punjab to provide medical tests facilities to the patients. He said that laboratories are being established at priority basis in the remote areas of Southern Punjab.
He said that CT scan, handling of toxic waste, shifting of patients through government ambulances, and hepatitis treatment facilities are being provided in Punjab. He said that nine mobile vans have been purchased for the repair of medical machinery of government hospitals.
Earlier, he inaugurated newly established Medical Lab in Layyah and inspected various hospitals. APP/AFP
