ISLAMABAD - Ten cricket teams have directly qualified for the T-20 World Cup to be held in Australia in 2020.
The announcement was made by the ICC on the basis of latest ranking of cricket teams in the T-20 format.
According to the qualification criteria set for the tournament, eight top-ranked teams have made straight entry to the Super-12 stage, while the remaining two teams will play in the group stage along with six other teams which will make entry through the ICC T20 World Cup qualifier 2019.
Pakistan, India, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies and Afghanistan will start their campaign directly in the Super 12s, while former champions Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will have to contend in the group stage which will be held from October 18th to 15th November 2020.
