CPEC: China inks agreement for generation of 700 MW electricity in Azad Kashmir

An agreement to generate 700 megawatt electricity through Azad Pattan Power Project was signed between Azad Kashmir government and a Chinese company under CPEC in Islamabad today.

Speaking on the occasion, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan said 2300 megawatt electricity is being produced in Azad Kashmir through hydro power projects to cater to power shortage in the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umer highlighted the special efforts of the Azad Kashmir government for development of Hydel power generation projects.
