Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasoolallah (TLYR) – Jalali group had refused to call off its sit-in on Mall Road even after all the sit-ins in various cities of country ended on Monday after an agreement reached with the government.
The head of the TLYRA Dr Ashraf Asif Jalali denied reaching any agreement with the government and refused to have links with the Faizabad protesters.
The activists of TLYRA said that they were ready stage sit-in for as long as it took under the leadership of Dr Ashraf Asif Jalali, adding that the Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah will have to resign from his post.
Earlier, Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi had again demanded the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.
He said that they would not withdraw from the demand of the resignation of Rana Sanaullah. “We have collected the resignations of 15 MPs and submitted them in the assemblies if our demands were not met by December 3,” he added.
Previously, the demands conveyed by Jalali included lodging cases against all those officials responsible for the killings during the three-week sit-in in Islamabad and specify the exact number and names of those killed.
The other demands included the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.
On the other hand, Allama Ashraf Jalali renounced the Islamabad agreement, saying those staging the Islamabad sit-in did not consult him.
Allama Ashraf Jalali said that Zaeem Qadri had contacted him from the government side. “The Tehreek Labbaik Ya Raool Allah (PBUH) is not our organization,” he said.
He demanded that a case should be registered against Rana Sanaullah after his resignation. “We want that the government should take practical steps,” he said.
