The WhatsApp status feature is widely used as people post regular updateson their stories.

Once this feature was introduced, WhatsApp also gave an option of privacy,controlling who can and cannot see story updates.

For users’ privacy, WhatsApp had rolled out a feature through which you canstop the blue tick, the read sign, in messages from appearing. The same isapplicable for viewing stories. One can now view the stories of otherswithout them having any knowledge about it.

The trick is the same that is used for messages. It is as follows:

WhatsApp> Setting> Privacy> Toggle off the Read receipt.

Contacts’ status’ can now be viewed without them knowing about it, but youwill not be able to see who has opened your status.
