In India, thousands of farmers protesting against agricultural reforms havethreatened to block all entry points to capital New Delhi if their demandswere not accepted.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has earlier resisted calls for therepeal of farm reforms that have ignited the biggest protests by farmers inNew Delhi.

The leader of the Indian opposition Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, said thenew laws would benefit big business and accused Modi of crony capitalism.
