KARACHI – Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir is likely to make a comeback in theTest side during the upcoming tour of South Africa.
According to private channel, the national selection committee is thinkingabout including Amir in the side in place of off-spinner Bilal Asif. Theformer has been on the sidelines since Pakistan’s disastrous Asia Cup 2018campaign — where he was uninspiring with the ball in hand.
The report further stated that left-handed batsman Shan Masood can secure aspot in the squad as the third opener — especially bearing in mind FakharZaman’s knee injury. The decision regarding inclusion of fast-bowlerMohammad Abbas in the squad will be taken after assessing his fitness, although, the selection committee is confident that he will recover in timefor the series.
