Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Atta Bandial presided over a meetingof the Judicial Commission to take up the matter of the appointment of theIslamabad High Court Chief justice.
The commission recommended the appointment of Justice Amir Farooq as theIHC chief justice.
The name of Justice Amir was recommended unanimously. Islamabad High CourtChief Justice Athar Minullah has been recommended for the post of SupremeCourt judge.
