Pakistan Navy to get firepower boost with two new state of the art Warships

BEIJING – The steel cutting ceremony of two Type 054 A/P Frigates, beingbuilt for the Pakistan Navy, was held at Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard China onFriday.

According to a tweet posted by the Navy’s spokesperson, the ceremony wasattended by Navy Commodore Azfar Humayun and President of ChinaShipbuilding Trading Company (CSTC).

“These Warships will strengthen PN’s [Pakistan Navy] capability to maintainpeace & [and] stability in the IOR,” the spokesperson said in a tweet.

On the occasion, Commodore Azfar Humayun commended the new chapter ofPakistan-China friendship and also praised the work of CSTC.
